After PokerStars was added to the official list of poker rooms that are still open to Americans, players from PartyPoker flocked to the site at once.
After issuing a press release announcing their stance, their name was included in CompatiblePoker.com as a poker room accepting Americans. Most of the poker rooms that are remaining open are privately owned, and believe that the gambling bill does not change anything from a legal standpoint. These poker rooms say that the bill only changes the availability of financial transactions, which will still be given a grace period.
CompatiblePoker's list will now include financial institutions that will and will not accept US transactions to gambling sites. Other places like Neteller haven't stopped accepting US based gambling transactions and are included in the list of "financial Intermediaries". The page at Compatiblepoker.com/usa will keep tabs of all the major companies and their statements.
Major changes are always happening and the site is continually being updated to keep up with the developments. For instance, some sites that were not expected to pull out of the US market did. The site predicts that for now, PokerStars will be the front runner in grabbing the USA market share according to the site's list.
